The September Issue

August 18, 2011 § 1 Comment

I am excited to see that September issue of Architectural Digest features Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s home. When I lived in LA, I was brought on to help artist Kelly Holden handpaint the tiles for their living room (shown above). We also painted several really beautiful Moroccan inspired patterns on the ceiling beams in their entertainment theater (not featured). The top 2 images and more can be seen over at Architectural Digest and the bottom photo was one we took just after we finished painting.

Working with Kelly was (and always is) an incredible experience and has played a crucial role in my development as an artist. This project definitely inspired me to learn more about pattern and design and follow a path where both are a constant in my life.

I love these. It’s so nice to see some of the work you did while you were in LA. You were always working on such beautiful things…
